No, seriously. They are overloaded.
That’s Erick Aybar at the wheel, Kendrys Morales next to him and Maicer Izturis on the front dash. Albert Pujols, Alberto Callaspo and Vernon Wells are riding in back.
The group took the lazy way back from the minor-league side of the complex after taking their swings Saturday morning.
If you’re keeping score at home — that’s about 1,300 pounds of ballplayer, $48 million in 2012 salaries and $318 million in total commitments.
All six made it back safely to the main clubhouse.
“We bottomed out a couple times,” Wells said. “I didn’t even realize Aybar was driving until we got back here.”
